The Aeroflex/JcAIR Test Systems T1200A CDU (Control Display Unit) has been discontinued due to ongoing component obsolescence issues. It will be replaced with the new T1200B CDU part number 01-1200-B2 that will be available in July, 2004.
T1200 and T1200A Touch-screen Notice
Touch-screens used with these two models are no longer available. There is currently a limited number of new T1200A screens that are available on a first come first serve basis. Once this stock is depleted, no additional factory support is possible for the T1200A touch-screens. Older T1200 touch-screens are out of stock and no longer supported.
We recommend that all of our customers take this in to consideration when deciding between upgrading an existing T1200A or purchasing a new unit. Should you choose to upgrade an existing unit and the display fail shortly thereafter, the expense of the upgrade can not be recovered and applied against the purchase of a new T1200B.
T120X DFIU (Discrete Function Interface Unit) compatibility
T1200/A users can purchase and use the new T1200B. This unit is functionally interchangeable with the old T1200/A but can be used only with JcAIR/Kustom T120X DFIU panels. The T1200B will not be compatible with any other panels without purchasing special upgrade kits for each panel. Kits are available at no charge with purchase of a T1200B to upgrade JcAIR and Kustom T120X panels only. The serial number and MOD status of your panel will need to be provided. We also need to know if it is an older Kustom panel or a JcAIR panel.
For those customers using other than JcAIR/Kustom DFIU panels, special kits can be made available to retrofit the equipment you are using allowing the T1200B menu features to enable for specific LRU testing. Pricing is available on request.

Reason for changes
Continuing obsolescence of key components of the older T1200 product line dictate this change as do compatibility issues with non Kustom or JcAIR LRU interfaces.
T1200B significant differences from T1200/As
Displays
The T1200B features a 12.1-inch, external, color, VGA compatible touch-screen display. The display can either be externally mounted on the front of the unit or placed on the bench. The unit will have optional front or rear monitor connector depending on customer application.
Keyboard
The manual keyboard will be removed from the monitor and placed on the touch-screen display.
Mouse
There will be an input port to allow control of the T1200B functions using an external mouse.
Operating System
A windows based operating system is now being used with the T1200B. Some touch-screen features may appear slightly different than they do on the units being replaced. Functionality remains unchanged.
Motherboard
The motherboard in the T1200B is being upgraded to a new, single computer board.
Dimensions / Power requirements
Dimensions of the T1200B (less external display) will be smaller than those of its predecessors. The new dimensions of the unit itself follow:
Height: 7 inches
Width: 19 inches
Depth: 16 inches
Power requirements: 110/230 VAC 47-63 HZ, 250 VA Max.
Exchange Program
There is no exchange program for either the T1200 or T1200A units towards replacement costs of the T1200B.
