Wichita, KS —April 25, 2006—Aeroflex today announced the addition of Motorola’s High Performance Data (HPD®) test capability into the Aeroflex 3900 Series digital radio test set, Aeroflex’s next generation digital radio test platform . HPD products are being created to address the increasing need for high-performance packet data operation in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands, while maintaining 25 kHz bandwidth for a variety of public safety data applications. The HPD test module in the 3900 Series provides users with the ability to test HPD systems with an exclusive analysis suite that provides full functionality testing of transmit and receiver parameters. The Aeroflex 3900 Series is a robust digital radio test platform designed to meet today’s high-end testing requirements. It incorporates an RF receiver, signal generator, powerful DSP sub-systems and integrated instrument applications software. Its software reconfigurable digital architecture not only provides a flexible test capability with highly accurate and repeatable measurement performance for today’s PMR test requirements, but also ensures that advances in PMR technology can be easily maintained. “Aeroflex is continuing our commitment to developing high-performance and high-quality digital and analog radio test sets for the land mobile and public safety radio market,” says Rob Barden, Director of Product Marketing, Aeroflex. “With the addition of HPD capabilities to the 3900 product line, Aeroflex is again at the forefront with first-to-market test capabilities to support this newest Motorola radio technology.” About the High Performance Data option for the Aeroflex 3900 Series The HPD testing feature on Aeroflex’s 3900 Series allows the user to measure signal power, frequency error, Error Vector Magnitude (EVM), symbol clock error, Rx BER, occupied bandwidth, burst timing error, amplitude imbalance, phase mismatch and carrier feed through. In addition, the HPD testing feature allows the user to define the following parameters:
