Variable attenuators continuously change the amplitude of a microwave signal by applying a variable DC current, voltage or digital signal. A matched configuration of diodes keep the VSWR low through all values of attenuation and frequency.

Phase shifters continuously change the phase of a microwave signal by varying a DC voltage across the diodes, using either an analog or digital input control. A Balanced stripline configuration keeps the VSWR and amplitude ripple to a minimum through all values of phase.

High speed diode limiters (receiver protectors) are used at the input of sensitive receivers to protect them against burnout caused by high levels of CW or pulsed power. Most modules are built in “air free” solid dielectric stripline and can, therefore, handle high values of high power.
